Tara Denniston Sacred choral arrangements for Christian / LDS choirs.

Биография

I have been singing for as long as I can remember, and I started taking daily piano lessons from my mother at four years of age.  One of my earliest memories of music is laying on the living room floor as my mother was playing the piano (I must have been 4 or 5).  I was humming along (making up my own harmony) and was amazed that I could "predict" which note to sing next.  It was that moment when I realized I had a special gift.  I began playing the French horn when I was twelve and was deeply involved in multiple school bands, orchestras, and choirs throughout my school years, as well as private lessons from several teachers in both horn and voice.  I continued immersing myself in music through college, majoring in music performance at Brigham Young University, where I met my husband David (who also plays the French horn - only he's much better at it).  Since college I have taught private vocal lessons and done a little voice-over work, and I have also had the opportunity to conduct several church choirs.

I have been composing music ever since I began playing the piano, but I have only recently begun writing it down.  Unfortunate health issues forced me to stop singing for a few years, which helped me gain a new appreciation for music and has led me to explore other avenues of music, including composing and arranging sacred vocal works for solo voice and choir.

I continue to fill my life and my home with music, and I hope to record a CD of my compositions soon.  I live in Auburn Hills, Michigan with my husband David and daughter Lena.
